Hi my friends! Today, I’m practicing hand stitching cause I made another pin cushion! Yep, I did! It’s the fastest way for me to get better at doing an invisible stitch when I have to close the opening.
To make it even easier, I used some pre-cut fat quarter fabric sheets from my stash that measures about 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ so no need to cut any fabric! I just ordered a new rotary cutter that should be arriving tomorrow. The two I had stopped working and I made sure to purchase extra blades.
I found this YT video on the ladder stitch and she demonstrated it very well, I followed her instructions and I think I got it! Take a look at these couple of pictures!

You can probably still see some of my stitches as I might not have pulled the thread tight enough but even still, it’s a BIG improvement from my first pin cushion which you can see in this post.
I’m continually practicing with my hand sewing but I feel much, much better to have found some instructions that made more sense to me. Tell me how you think I did! Leave a comment!
