Winter Hat Collection - Crochet BellaArt Creatives

A Tribute to my Winter Collection Crochet Hats

This post is paying homage to my hubby, the pro photographer in the family. I was rummaging through some files on my computer tonight and I ran into a picture of one of my handmade crochet hats which was part of my Winter collection many years ago. Back then I had an Etsy shop that I sold my crochet makes. Looking at this photo got me re-living that time when I created this collection and I needed professional photos taken for the shop.

I don’t remember how many hats were in the collection, but there were a lot!

So, let me tell you a bit about these hats.

They were all part of my Slouchy Hat collection because I loved the look of a slouchy beanie. You can wear your hair in any style and look super cute in this kind of hat.

Each hat had something different about it whether it be a cute pom pom on top or a decorative side button. Some were made with my own pattern. Really proud of that! Also, many of them had a beautiful ribbing that mimics knitting. I had a LOT of fun making each one! Some of the hats were made with an acrylic/wool blend while others were 100% acrylic.

I asked hubby to shoot the pictures for me and he did a bang-up job and knocked it out of the park with how he photographed each hat. My model head, “Carlotta” was styled with each hat and he took pics from different angles. My shop looked so good with these photos.

What happened to the Collection?

Well, some sold and the rest donated. So, while I don’t have the hats, I have the photos and the memories 🙂

I decided to write this short post to showcase the collection and all the pics my sweet hubby took. I hope you enjoy looking through this catalog of sorts. I still am in love with these hats and amazed that I made them with my own hands. There’s no feeling like when you handmake something!

Three of the hats I made a matching scarf and one hat I made flaps with pom poms on the ends. Each hat was so unique even if the style was similar. The deep red hat/scarf is a combo of crochet and knitting, for more details of that set, check out this post.

A big thanks to my hubby for always supporting my hobby to craft! Thanks for Reading!
