I like my Pinky Craft Space

Hi my friends! Today, I’m sharing some pics of my new Craft space. If you’ve been following me on IG for awhile, you know hubby and I bought our 1st home in 2024 so we’ve been living here for 1 year and 3 months now. WOW! It seems still that we just moved in.

We took the master bedroom and divided in half so he could work his eBay business on one side while I took the other for my day job as well as my crafty space. We allowed ourselves to decorate our individual spaces anyway we liked. And of course, I LOVE pink! So, you will see a lot of it in these pics.

I took quite a lot of photos and I’ll list what I have in drawers or on carts for you. It’s a small space but it’s not cramped and I can basically have about 80% of my supplies within arms reach.

How I laid out my Space

When we first moved in, we had a LOT of work stuff, from office supplies to inventory, to craft supplies, dressers, tables, computers, you name it so we had to be very strategic about where the furniture would go first. The room is about 12′-4″ x 9′-6″ with a walk-in closet. So we split the room literally in half. Facing the door as you come into the room, hubby took the right side and I the left.

We structured our tables/desks with an “L” shape as that seemed appropriate. On his side of the room, it looks more like an upside down “L” shape, his office desk extends from the wall and comes around in front of the window. My side is the opposite with my drawers and dresser extending from the other wall around in front the window on the left side of the room.

We kept the space open as much as possible and we divided our space with Asian screens for a bit of privacy. His side is very masculine looking while mine looks like a little girl having a tea party! 😀

In the walk-in closet, we have 3 shelves for hubby’s store inventory, our office and shipping supplies and on the other side I have a shelf for extra craft stuff plus we share the top shelf with more tools and items.

Why Pink?

Pink is my favorite color but not all pinks razzle and dazzle me. I prefer more muted or pale pink shades. However, when I was replacing certain items, I couldn’t get them all in the shade I liked so you’ll see some fushia in places too. Also, pink is a calming, soothing color. I’m convinced that certain colors can change your mood.

What did I Replace with Pink?

Last year I replaced these items:

  • inbox
  • sewing case
  • tape dispenser
  • calculator
  • tablet holder
  • computer keyboard
  • phone case
  • scissors
  • hole puncher
  • desk fan
  • pencil holders
  • small bins
  • project bags
  • magazine holders
  • chair blanket

And I bought these new pinky items:

  • computer wrist rest
  • bookcase
  • fabric to cover my scanner
  • thermal printer
  • numeric keypad
  • plushie
  • small bags to hold notions
  • recycle bin

Overall, even with all the pink, I still offset it with whites and creams. Coming into my space makes me want to create.

How I Organize my Cardstock and Die Sets

I use these pink magazine holders to house all my cardstock and specialty papers like acetate and in the white magazine holders, I store my die sets which are in pink folders. Inside the folders each die set is alphabetically sorted by the company.

All the pink magazine holders comes from Dollar Tree as well as the pink and purple folders. There’s a couple more folders sitting on the back of the shelf that house my Betterpress plates, 3D die sets and my stitching dies. The white marble magazine holders I bought from our local Fred Meyer years ago.

In the bins below is where I keep my stamp sets. I’m using 2 bins right now with room to grow. In my other bins, I keep Christmas collections, shipping supplies, extra office and craft supplies and my heat embossing powders. I’ll talk about my craft cart later in this post.

Now, looking in this drawer, I mainly keep my 6×6, 6×8 pattern paper + cardstock scraps from other collections and past projects. There’s some extra yarn in there too! I also have some 12×12 cardstock on the bottom.

What’s in my other Drawers?

I have one drawer for all my sequins, Nuvo Drops, extra die cuts, charms, paste, beads and glitters.

The next drawer is my favorite cause it houses all my stickers, cut aparts, paper collections, enamel dots, my circle punches and a few extras. I love shopping my stash!

This dresser sits right next to my office desk so I can reach over and grab any of these items. The bins I have to walk over to but it’s fine because I decided to make my dresser be a stand up station for my die cutting machine to always sit there ready for use. I also heat press up there too.

The last drawer is where I keep all my Distress inks, on top you see the Oxides but underneath are my full Distress traditional ink pads. Over on the side are blending brushes, anti-static powder, ink daubers, mini ink cubes and some acrylic blocks.

My Office and Craft Table

Because I still have a day job, I needed a desk that connects to my craft table. We bought this wooden desk from our local thrift store years ago and I covered it with contact paper and then bought an oversize pink pad from AZ for it. My Android tablet sits between me and my computer screen that I like to play games on.

My pink/white bookcase is over to the right of me so I can grab my pens, markers, highlighters, gel pens even my eyedroppers for when my eyes get dried out. You’ll see my new mini sewing machine, it’s lilac and purple, not my favorite color but I’ll take it!

On the top and second shelves is where I keep mostly my items for my eBay shop. I sell old vintage photos. But, there’s some crafty stuff too like my wax seals, my Sizzix Sidekick die cutting machine and my stencils book. I also keep my Bible Art Journal on the 2nd shelf. In the back of the third shelf behind my markers is where I keep all my paintbrushes.

My planner sits on my desk and you can see I have a card collection that arrived yesterday by Paper Rose Studio. Can’t wait to start playing with that!

Over to my Craft Table

On my craft table. I have a white bookcase where I keep my paper trimmer, acrylic blocks, couple of folders and I have a slot for my 2 Misti stamp positioners.

You can see the different shades of pink right? I’m not sure my phone camera picked up the colors well but moving along you’ll see I made a sticker, “Don’t Forget Me” on my pending cardmaking projects case because I can lay it down and forget about it in a heartbeat!

My thermal printer sits on top of my Canon printer that prints my packaging labels for my eBay business. I’m also starting again to grow my yarn collection. I am loving crocheting again! My little cat fur baby plushie sits quietly on top of my scanner that’s black which I keep covered with a pretty pink fabric when I’m not using it.

I love balloons so I picked up a package of them at Dollar Tree, blew a few of them and tied them together. They hang off my curtain rod and it’s fun looking up at them.

Lastly, I have a small pegboard on the wall that keeps my shading and blending brushes plus a pair of gloves. However, I love, love my pegboard cube on top of my cart. I don’t have a lot of wall space in here so I have to be creative how I organize.

My 2 Craft Carts

These are my big helpers in the Craft space. They carry my array of inks, Copics and other markers, all my stitching supplies and my envelopes. You might not see all of this cause I’ve got other things stacked on top, they hold a lot! And there’s my pegboard cube that I made a couple of years ago.

I made a total of 4 of these from watching a YT video tutorial here and they help me a lot because I have my scissors, punches, tapes and so much more.

Since I don’t have the wall space to hang up a large pegboard, these cubes were my answer and I placed it over a lazy susan so it can turn. I bought my pegboards from AZ because at the time I watched the video, my local DT didn’t have the pegboard sizes I needed. This cart sits behind me so all I have to do is turn around and grab what I need.

Here’s some random pics I took!

The last picture is the front of our beautiful home. It’s a such a blessing to have a Craft space that I can call my own. I can design it anyway I want and craft any time I want. My life is no longer on hold because I’m living in our truck. God truly blessed us immensely!

This is my Happy Space, my Happy Place and it’s great to share it with you! I hope you have a space in your home that you can craft from. It doesn’t need to be huge, it just needs to be where you feel comfortable and creative.
